Gates are open to visitors at 9.30 a.m. and close at 5.30 p.m. Island is closed to "day" visitors on Wednesdays during winter only, but is open for accommodation and camping. From mid November to mid April, the island is open seven days a week.
Situated 12 km north east of Kerikeri in the Bay of Islands and linked to the mainland by a causeway road. Follow the brown Aroha Island signs from the Waipapa Road and Landing Road roundabout.
